Laura Valdes-Mora
Laura Valdes-Mora re-joined Elite MicroSource Corporation, a training center for Quality Control (QC) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in 2010. She serves as Technical Director, acting as Principal Consultant and National Speaker on Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Good Manufacturing Practices and related topics. Ms. Valdes-Mora, a published author (see Publications below), has managed Clinical Supply Manufacturing, serving as Quality Consultant, Microbiology Technical Trainer, and Quality Compliance Reviewer. Ms. Valdes-Mora has also worked at AAI, a pharmaceutical testing services company, where for 7 years she served as Microbiology Technical Director, working as Subject Matter Expert and Technical Advisor to anyone interested in pharmaceutical microbiology.
She received a B.S. degree in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico and an M.S. degree in Microbiology from North Carolina State University. Her experience covers manufacturing, water quality, environmental monitoring, Biological Indicators (BIs), preparation of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), protocols and training manuals, GMP auditing, equipment validations, investigations, and cleanroom management. One of the founders of the Pharmaceutical Microbiology Forum (PMF) and the PMF's first president, Ms. Valdes-Mora currently travels around the USA, Canada and Puerto Rico lecturing, advising and auditing on GMPs and pharmaceutical quality, speaking at GMP seminars and performing GMP training.
